Alice (Lisa Wilcox) ha un incubo nel quale fa la doccia e viene proiettata, nuda, in un sotterraneo. Poi si ritrova nei panni di suora, come Amanda Krueger, tra cento dementi (tra cui Robert Englund in un cameo senza trucco da Freddy) che la violenteranno dando vita a Freddy. Poi Alice si sveglia. Alla festa del diploma, ritrova il fidanzato Dan (Danny Hassel), al quale rivela l’incubo. Dan la conforta ricordandole che se lei non rimaterializzerà Krueger (Robert Englund) non ci saranno problemi. Ma Alice sogna la nascita di Freddy a opera di Amanda Krueger (Beatrice Boepples). E benché cerchi di impedirlo, è testimone del riformarsi del mostro, che torna in azione più potente di prima. Per sconfiggerlo, Alice dovrebbe trovare i resti di Amanda, nella torre.

La clinica, neanche a dirlo, è ubicata su un'impervia scogliera lontana da qualsiasi centro abitato. Sulla clinica piove incessantemente e le notti, immancabilmente, sono più lunghe dei giorni. Nella clinica medici e pazienti sembrano convivere la stessa condizione di alienati. Su tutti si distinguono l'onnipresente Ulloa, guardone allucinato a cui non sfuggono le grazie generose della dottoressa Vargas, e una bambina non bene identificata, solo nell'epilogo capiremo perché, a cui un trauma ha da tempo tolto voce e volontà di vivere. Una notte, una delle tante del film, la bambina in questione viene trovata con le vene tagliate dentro a una vasca, da quel momento realtà e allucinazioni si confondono nella mente della protagonista e dello spettatore che insieme scopriranno, che "niente è quello che sembra".

Russians bombarded Bucha, Borodyanka, Irpin and other cities in the region following their invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. By the time they retreated a month later, the damage was huge: buildings had been destroyed and there were corpses lying in the streets. Filmmakers Mila Teshaieva and Marcus Lenz went in immediately, in time to film local people emerging from their shelters, but never showing the actual atrocities. That wasn’t necessary, as the trauma of war is clear to see on everyone’s faces, including those of the volunteers who rushed in from far and wide to help.
