Ricostruzione, in forma di docudrama con la mescolanza di immagini “finte” e di materiale di repertorio in bianconero, del processo contro Pino Pelosi per la morte di Pier Paolo Pasolini, ucciso nella notte tra il 1° e il 2 novembre 1975 sul lido di Ostia. Giordana e i suoi sceneggiatori Stefano Rulli e Sandro Petraglia non pretendono di raccontare la verità su quella morte, ma di spiegare perché quella verità non s'è mai saputa e perché la prima sentenza che condannò Pelosi per omicidio “con il concorso di ignoti” sia stata cassata nelle sentenze successive, rimossa dall'opinione pubblica, dimenticata. Nel film, montato con accorta efficacia da Cecilia Zanuso, di Pasolini si vede il volto, e si ascolta la voce, soltanto nei frammenti di repertorio.
