Nel giorno del suo compleanno il centenario Allan Karlsson scappa dalla casa di riposo in cui soggiorna verso una meta ignota, nel farlo prende la valigia piena di soldi ad un corriere della malavita senza conoscerne il contenuto. Giunto ad una prima destinazione incontra un contandino con il quale scopre il contenuto della valigia e da quel momento cerca di mettere a frutto il denaro non comprendendo bene di essere al centro di una clamorosa caccia all'uomo da parte della mafia. Nel suo viaggiare Allan ricorda spezzoni della propria vita, dall'infanzia e la passione per le esplosioni, alla giovinezza come dinamitardo nella guerra civile spagnola, l'amicizia con Franco e poi il lavoro al progetto Manhattan, il servizio per Stalin, il controspionaggio e alla fine l'involontario ruolo nella caduta del muro di Berlino.

The Priest Who Knocked Out / 1943

The boxing promoter Charlie returns from America to Sweden and needs to find a professional Swedish boxer for an upcoming fight. By chance Charlie watches Björn Harring fight off some hoodlums. Charlie sees great potential in Björn and wants to promote him for an upcoming fight, the problem is though that Björn is studying theology and is soon to become a priest. This might not look too good in a prejudiced society of the 40s with a boxing priest, but Charlie is determent to find a way.
