Sam and Friends was an early live-action/puppet television show created by puppeteer Jim Henson and his eventual wife Jane. It was taped and aired locally in Washington, D.C. on WRC-TV in black-and-white, and later, color on weekdays from May 9, 1955 to December 15, 1961.

DEER FRIEND - Stella helps Sam make friends with a fawn that he surprised in the meadow.

Sydney Young è nella redazione di un giornale satirico londinese e non perde occasione per farsi notare anche nelle manifestazioni più importanti come il BAFTA. La sua propensione per combinare guai, arrivando però ovunque, attrae l'attenzione di Clayton Harding, editore di una prestigiosa rivista americana, che lo chiama a New York. Ora Sydney dovrebbe riuscire a farsi strada nel mitico (per lui) mondo dello Star System hollywoodiano ma non è che in redazione ci siano molti disposti ad aiutarlo. A partire, inizialmente, da Allison che dichiara di odiarlo (ha compiuto involontariamente un attentato all'integrità del romanzo che la giovane collega sta scrivendo) ma che finisce con l'aiutarlo quando si ficca nei guai. Il che accade a ritmo costante perché Sydney riesce a mettersi in competizione con il suo diretto superiore e a creare problemi (uno dei quali di tipo canino) alla starlette in ascesa Sophie Maes.
