R.P.M. / 1970

R.P.M. stands for (political) revolutions per minute. Anthony Quinn plays a liberal college professor at a west coast college during the hedy days of campus activism in the late 1960s. Radical students take over the college, the president resigns, and Quinn's character, who has always been a champion of student activism, is appointed president. As the students continue to push the envelope of revolution, Quinn's character is faced with the challenge of restoring order or abetting the descent into anarchy.

In the Autumn of 1960, a fluke atmospheric weather condition allows a young teenager, Parry Tender, to receive a radio broadcast from New York City. Nestled in the Northern town of Goose Lake, Saskatchewan, Parry believes the contest the New York radio D.J. is running may be his ticket out of town, and away from a life to which he feels he never belonged. When Debbie Baxter, a young girl from California, arrives in the town by way of her father's position with the military, Parry soon discovers love, loss, and the magic of rock and roll.

Eddie Weinbauer (Marc Price), soprannominato Ragman, è uno studente sfigato con la passione dell’-heavy metal: ha una cotta per Leslie (Lisa Orgolini) ed è dileggiato quotidianamente da un gruppetto di bulletti wasp capitanati da Tim (Doug Savant). L’idolo di Eddie è Sammi Curr (Tony Fields), un cantante rock originario della sua città, Lakeridge. Ma Sammi muore in un incendio poco dopo aver ricevuto dalle autorità comunali il divieto di esibirsi a Lakeridge, come avrebbe voluto, per la serata di Halloween.
