Shot in Barranquilla on the Caribbean coast in Colombia, The First Part of King Henry IV of Double V Shakespeare: An Analogy (1972) testifies to a dream experience of "Living Theater" a lived analogy of The First Part of King Henry IV of Shakespeare. In an Elizabethan decor of white colonnades, ruined and sumptuous, the street characters imagine themselves in an open-air play. Inspired by the pages of the book Absolutely Necessary: The Emergency Book, a nomadic album in graphic poetry published" by Joëlle de La Casinière in 1973 at Éditions de Minuit, the film embodies the idea, already germinating at the time, of the work: multimedia, which combines the written word, image and sound.

In May 2009, Rick Wakeman finally achieved his long held dream of performing the entire album live at Hampton Court Palace. It was the first time the whole album had ever been performed in concert & included the Henry VIII track "Defender Of The Faith," that had to be cut from the original album for space reasons, plus new opening and closing pieces. La storia si svolge in vari luoghi dentro e attorno a Parigi, nella Francia del 1931. Racconta di un triangolo amoroso tra Anaïs Nin ed i coniugi Miller. Lei si trovava in una stabile relazione piccolo-borghese col marito Hugo Guiler, ma desiderava una vita più stimolante e trasgressiva, con maggiori colpi di testa. Quando incontra per la prima volta Henry Miller, lo percepisce come un uomo di New York rozzo ma molto virile. Lui ha gran talento nella letteratura e a quell'epoca stava lavorando al suo primo libro. Henry non teme di affrontare la vita a viso aperto, ma anzi si fa trascinare ed intossicare da essa. Successivamente June Miller arriva a Parigi e Anais rimane irresistibilmente attratta da lei. Lei rimane subito meravigliata dalla forza e dalla classe della donna, e presto rimane totalmente infatuata di June, che è apertamente bisessuale, che di per se stessa è una novità che costituisce una pericolosa tentazione per Anaïs Nin.
