A documentary about the rise, fall and resurrection of the Black Metal music and culture in the Egyptian cities Alexandria and Caïro. This subculture was related with satanic rituals and blasphemy by the media and the government. For this reason the national security of Egypt organised a real 'witchhunt ' on all the metalfans and musicians. Many youngsters were arrested.
The Return of Osiris / 2019
On June 9, 1967, the Egyptian president at the time, Gamal Abdel Nasser, appeared on television and radio to inform the Egyptian citizens of their country’s defeat in the war. During the speech, he also announced his resignation. For many, Nasser’s speech was the first hint of the full scope of the loss and the disillusionment with the pan-Arab vision he had led. The film weaves numerous stylistically divergent excerpts together, extracted from Egyptian movies and television series produced between 1976 and 2016; the found footage excerpts were edited to reconstruct Nasser’s speech of resignation according to the original text by using elements appropriated from popular culture.

In ancient Egypt, Isis and Osiris ruled the land. All were happy for the couple except one, Set, a jealous man who killed Osiris in order to take over his kingdom. Isis snuck into Osiris' tomb and tried to raise him from the dead using her black magic. Set caught Isis in the act and had Osiris cut to pieces, with each piece buried in a different part of the land, so Isis could never again raise her husband. Isis vowed to avenge Osiris' death and return with him to rule over all the worlds. Now, six college students take their last course in archeology in anticipation for graduation. Their last assignment is to uncover and document the museum's new acquisitions with their teacher, Prof. Shields and world-renowned Egyptologist Dr. Nasir. During the night they haphazardly awaken the ancient spirit of Isis' lost soul and her wrath is unleashed on the group.
