Whispering City / 1947

After hearing that a famous actress is dying in a hospital after being hit by a car, a reporter goes to the hospital to interview the actress. She then tells the reporter that her wealthy fiance, who was killed in an accident several years before, was actually murdered. Before long the reporter finds herself in a web of corruption, mental illness and murder.

Questo film è composto da tre storie visive separate, girate nell'arco di dieci anni in tre diverse città del Medio Oriente: Erbil in Kurdistan, Iraq settentrionale (2002), Ramallah in Cisgiordania, Palestina (2003) e Baghdad ( dal 2004 al 2012). Nessun dialogo e nessuna narrazione. Richiede allo spettatore di guardare, vedere e sentire. Ho vissuto temporaneamente in queste città e ho filmato la vita nelle strade sottostanti da dietro finestre e balconi, per rivelare la lotta quotidiana dello spirito umano in questa regione, esprimere una fede nella loro resilienza e coraggio. Una volta che ho iniziato a mettere insieme il materiale, ho potuto vedere che questo era un viaggio soggettivo e personale nel mondo vicino al mio cuore.
