This was the last of Dennis Potter's "one-shot, one-slot" plays for television. It had its origins in Potter's 1983 play "Sufficient Carbohydrate," about two middle-aged executives, one English, one American, who both work for the same multinational food company. Together, they vacation with their wives on a Greek island. In the TV adaptation, British businessman Jack becomes bitter as he faces the prospect of seeing his family company taken over by an American corporation. On a holiday at an Italian villa with his new manager, Eddie, he begins to stir up antagonism prompting Eddie's son Clayton to fantasize a murderous outcome.

This project breaks the boundaries which once placed all snowboard movie releases within the same timeframe. The standard release of a snowboard movie was to shoot all winter, edit in the summer, and release in the fall. We held off on the fall release for VISITORS and continued filming into December and January so that we could release a snowboard movie while people were actually snowboarding and not in the fall without any snow in sight. We traveled the world multiple times over in search for new spots, new tricks, and a new direction on snowboarding in the frozen cities and mountains. Style has always been our focus and this movie is guaranteed to deliver just that. Some of these guys have filmed more than 20 video parts, others at least half that, and some just now getting started. The well rounded mix of legends and the new kids delivers a diverse movie guaranteed to have something for everyone.

The Night Visitors is a movie about moths. In large and small fragments, looking both inward and out, through a critical lens that is by turns social and personal, the film closely examines these underknown creatures. While The Night Visitors is interested in moths as organisms, with fascinating life histories, staggering biodiversity, and a functional importance as indicators of climate change and habitat degradation, its engagement with them is not primarily entomological. Instead, the film looks at moths as aesthetic beings and as carriers of meaning, aiming for a deep encounter with the beauty and incommensurability of the profoundly other. The small hours of the night are threaded through with a sense of mortality and loss. Moths, with their trembling and exquisite impermanence, provide both a kind of solace and, in their diversity and difference, a focal point around which the desire to know can be organized.
