When their car breaks down in isolated woodland close to the scene of a recent murder, two teenage girls are forced to accept the help of a stranger.

Anno del Signore 1890. Padre Pedro (Bud Spencer) e Padre G. (Terence Hill) sono missionari in una comunità di indigeni che vive in un'isola dell'America Centrale. I loro valori di uguaglianza non sono benvisti né dal governatore locale, il marchese Gonzaga, né dalle alte sfere della chiesa locale, più vicina alla politica di sfruttamento degli abitanti attuata proprio dal marchese. Se poi i due preti passano anche ai fatti, scoppia una vera e propria rivoluzione che il marchese deve sedare chiedendo ed ottenendo dal vescovo che padre Pedro e Padre G. siano trasferiti in un'altra missione sotto il suo diretto controllo. Naturalmente tutto ciò non è accettato di buon grado dai due missionari.

The Dersim rebellion was a Kurdish uprising against the Turkish government in the Dersim region of eastern Turkey, which includes province s of Tunceli, Elazig and Bingöl . It was led by an Alevi chieftain Seyid Riza. As a result of cruel Turkish military attacks against the rebellion, ten thousands of Alevi Kurds and Zazas were killed and many others were internally displaced due to the conflict. This is a story of a girl who was separated from her family, language, belief, history and culture and who looks for them after 74 years.
