Eco Migrants: The Case of Bhola Island / 2013

This documentary film is about many thousand people forced to leave their homes following floods across Bhola Island (Bangladesh) in 2005. For these purposes, the movie tries to capture both the phenomenon of environmental displacement itself, and the problems of people affected by its consequences. Apart from theoretical considerations, it also examines which main factors force Bhola people to abandon their homes. Both long-term environmental hazards and short-lived natural disasters are investigated here, and it is shown how they entail significant implications for the dynamics of population mobility. A Migrant's Masterpiece: The Life and Legacy of Patrick Flores / 2008

Spanning a period of almost eighty years, this inspirational and compelling film captures the life and legacy of Patrick Flores, the first Mexican American to be appointed Bishop in the history of the Catholic Church. The film chronicles his childhood and early years as a migrant farm worker, high school drop- out and cantina musician. Patrick Flores dreamed of becoming a priest, a nearly impossible goal for a Mexican American in those days in Texas. The film is a microcosm of the struggles and triumphs of Mexican Americans. The film captures Patrick's amazing journey to the top hierarchy of the Catholic Church, becoming one of the most influential Latino leaders in the United States.

Pavel and Pavelina leave their rural countryside homes and move to Moscow to find work. Once there, they find that urban life is not what they thought it was and have to endure bitter hardships as they try to find work and places to live. The two meet for the first time during a fight at a bar, when they are arrested by police along with others in the building. The understand each other's troubles and band together to avoid both the police and criminal gangs that plagued Moscow toward the end of the Soviet Union.

The Migrant Mixtape / 2017

Following the publication of an announcement on the social networks inviting all interested canadian women (actresses, dancers and lovers of cinema) to present for a casting (without specifying neither age nor physical traits), in order to play the role of a veiled woman in a short film in preparation. 11 women were interviewed and each in turn had entered a proximate place with a complex subject such as the veiled female figure and the veil. the two casting sessions don't try to understand or find answers to questions related to this subject but it will help us in our research on this topic and in the collection of data and testimonials. Everything goes through a veil, bodies and looks. After the audition, we decided to turn the rushes into a short documentary.

Road of a Migrant / 2016

The film follows an annual 10-day- long walking Pilgrimage dedicated to and organized by Ukrainian labour migrants and their families. During 260 km of walk, the Pilgrims spread the word of their experiences abroad and try to reconnect with their families, estranged through the years of migration. They fight the guilt and the sense of blame for migration, and, against the evermore crumbling trust in the Ukrainian state, attempt to organize through the only existing for them institution, the Church. Τhe film speaks of the controversial rise of the Church institution in a post-soviet state, as a force preoccupied not only with the spiritual, but also with the social and the political.

Between the social event that happened in June in Hong Kong, her thoughts and caring about the city are far more from what people used to imagine a narrative of a domestic worker. They are not only domestic workers but they also have other social roles, e.g. a citizen who lived in Hong Kong.
