He needs to find his sword and kill the fox to rid two worlds of its evil.

Durante la dinastia Ming, gli orfani Ying, Yuanlong, Niehu e Sao crescono come fratelli al villaggio Taoyuan e, grazie alle loro abilità nelle arti marziali, riescono a raggiungere il grado più alto tra le guardie imperiali. Dopo aver ucciso il capo delle truppe giapponesi rivali, Ying riceve dall'imperatore il compito di scortare la Ruota d'oro del Tempo (che permette di viaggiare nel tempo e prevedere il futuro) dall'India alla capitale ma una serie di eventi e tradimenti lo portano a un duello che lo seppellisce sotto terra insieme a Niehu e Sao. Quattrocento anni dopo, lo scudiero Tang - finanziato da un misterioso uomo ricco - effettua degli scavi quando trova i tre uomini ibernati. Riportandoli in vita nella moderna Hong Kong, permetterà a Ying di pareggiare i conti con la storia che ha alle spalle.
