Dopo una gara in cui Turno deve cedere al valore di Enea, questi riesce con la menzogna ad aizzargli contro il popolo latino. La guerra fra i latini e la gente di Troia è lunga: ad Enea sono fedeli Pallante e i suoi. Turno muove più volte i suoi armigeri all'assalto: Camilla, regina dei Volsci, perde la vita. Enea mosso a pietà da tanti lutti propone di decidere la battaglia in un duello mortale fra sé e Turno. Questi è ucciso.
