Notes from the front: music, words and images of the great war / 2018

Notes from the Front is a project distinguished by its original and innovative multi-disciplinary approach, which assembles arrangements of popular war songs of the period and original new music by Pordenone’s Zerorchestra with a chronologically complete, thematic review of film footage shot dal vero (“from life”) in war zones by Italian, Austro-Hungarian, and American cameramen. The visual material is set against readings of extracts from diaries kept by soldiers from the two armies. The various sources – musical, cinematic, and autobiographical – are combined to create a unique emotional experience, which simultaneously recounts the war, sheds light on propaganda techniques, compares them with soldiers’ accounts, and puts a modern slant on the music of the time inspired by the war.

Per questo chiedono ai terrestri di aiutarli: se loro 'presteranno' agli Xiliens Godzilla (Mostro 1) e Rodan (Mostro 2) per combattere il Mostro 0, gli alieni in cambio consegneranno un'assistenza alla loro scienza medica.

Questo film d'animazione è chiaramente un classico figlio della letteratura giapponese degli anni '80 e si riallaccia al genere, molto sfruttato anche dallo stesso Otomo, in cui il mondo deve sottostare ad una grande minaccia che viene dall'ignoto e gli unici in grado di salvarlo sono delle persone apparentemente normali, per lo più esper, che però possiedono poteri psichici in grado di salvare la Terra. Quindi Harmagedon non rappresenta una grande novità nel genere (nello stesso filone possiamo ricordare diversi altri lavori nati nello stesso periodo), ma nel complesso risulta essere un prodotto piacevole da vedere

Questo giovane è Duke Fleed, principe dell'omonimo pianeta, che ora vive sulla Terra, accolto dal Prof. Umon e presentato a tutti come il figlio Daesuke.
