He wants to find a breakthrough with his acting career but he feels hasty and desperate because he started late. This theatrical company is preparing an experimental play and starts to gather actors . Mi-Ran, who is in charge of this company wants to scout this actor called, Ji-Hwan. Mi-Ran thinks he is an outstanding actor but some of the actors opposed to this idea. Soo-Young who wants to be a good actor desperately wants to meet him. Soo-Young goes all the way to the mountain in Kang-won-do just to find Ji-Hwan, but Ji-Hwan turned out to be not the person who Soo-young thought he would be. Ji-Hwan seems too awkward to be a good actor. And Soo young, who wanted to find the method to be a good actor, becomes very confused as he gets to know ji-hwan more and more. And he finally learns that there is no such thing as a method.

The film is set in a small town near Warsaw, to which a young and coming director comes to produce a classic play (Wyspianski "Wyzwolenie") with a modern vein. Everyone in the production gets his usual stereotypical role, but the aging idol of the ensemble senses opportunity to give the performance of his life. For young director everything is already set. The leading man, however, is not giving up and is trying to restore the role according to his view. His wife listens to his fears, complaints and frustrations, while resigning herself to a fading career in a puppet theatre.

Founded in 1980, Lan Ling Theater is the first experimental theater company in Taiwan and the main promoter of the small theater movement. The troupe was disbanded in 1991. Since then, every ten years, everyone starts to re-perform together. In April 1983, “Experimental Actors Studio" premiered in Taipei. In May 2018, they delivered four performances at the National Theater. In the next four years, they toured nine cities and had 20 performances. The original class reunion turned out to be more like a graduation trip.
