Rum Runners is the epic story of two best friends, Vic Hanson and Don Calyer. They get caught running illegal booze across the Canadian border. 1919, mar dei Caraibi. Cornelius è un contrabbandiere di rhum che fa la spola tra Cuba e le coste del Texas con la sua nave, approfittando delle opportunità di guadagno illecito date dal proibizionismo. Innamorato della diva del cinema Linda, un giorno la incontra davvero e riesce a conquistarla. Linda lo segue sulla sua nave, che però è messa alle strette dai finanzieri. La donna viene salvata da lord Hammond, che dopo alcuni giorni sposa la donna, mentre Cornelius finirà in galera...
