End of an Era è un album live del gruppo musicale finlandese Nightwish. È stata l'ultima apparizione di Tarja Turunen come cantante del gruppo, nonché l'ultimo concerto del tour mondiale Once Upon a Tour 2004/2005, che promuoveva l'album Once, da cui sono ripresi 8 dei 18 brani presenti in questo live. Al concerto partecipa anche John Two Hawks, nativo americano, suonando il flauto in Stone People. L'intro e l'outro dell'album sono stati composti da Hans Zimmer. La copertina raffigura le statue di un angelo e un demone che si danno le spalle. Al centro c'è un altro piedistallo molto alto sulla cui punta si trova un cuore spezzato circondato da scariche elettriche. Nello sfondo rovine di templi e un cielo nuvoloso.

"From Wishes to Eternity" è il primo album live del gruppo musicale finlandese Nightwish. È stato pubblicato nel 2000 in DVD, VHS e CD. Il CD venne pubblicato in un'edizione limitata di sole 10.000 copie, disponibili solo in Finlandia. Al termine del DVD si può vedere la band che viene premiata con il disco d'oro per Wishmaster.

Nightwish: Decades Live in Buenos Aires / 2019

Decades: Live In Buenos Aires (ripreso il 30 settembre 2018 all’Estadio Malvinas) presenta una tracklist che sarebbe eufemistico definire semplicemente interessante. Nelle due ore di show i Nightwish ripropongono pezzi dell’era che fu e lo fanno avvalendosi della professionalità inimitabile di Floor Jansen al microfono e le sonorità folk di Troy Donockley. Un live, insomma, per tutti i nostalgici dell’era con Tarja Turunen, ma anche la prova provata che la carriera di un gruppo musicale è un continuum che può (ri)vivere di momenti considerati irreversibilmente defunti. Difficilmente ritroveremo questi brani in altri live show.

Nightwish: Vehicle Of Spirit / 2016

Tutto sembra essere ‘enorme’ infatti in “Vehicle Of Spirit”, a partire dalla quantità di materiale che si trova nei due bluray, racchiudenti due concerti registrati per intero all’interno di venue molto importanti rispettivamente alla Wembley Arena di Londra e allo Ratina Stadion di Tampere,Finlandia, il risultato è anche qui letteralmente strabiliante. A parte una pulizia dell’immagine e sonora addirittura superiore ai livelli già altissimi raggiunti nella precedente testimonianza live della band “Showtime, Storytime” del 2013, grazie a queste due nuove registrazioni assistiamo sbalorditi all’utilizzo perfetto di quello che immaginiamo essere un supporto tecnico di videocamere davvero all’avanguardia, capace praticamente di farci sentire sul palco con i musicisti, pur essendo invece comodamente seduti sulla nostra poltrona.

Nightwish - Virtual Live Show From The Islanders Arms 2021 / 2022

When Nightwish’s world tour was canceled due to the pandemic, the band wanted to offer fans something unprecedented. Half a year in preparation they put together an exceptionally ambitious production, the like of which had not been seen before. Fans were able to follow the band playing live in the astonishing 3D world, designed according to the band’s vision, while interacting with each other. Also, songs from Nightwish’s latest album ‘Human. : II: Nature.’ were played live for the first time. 'An Evening with Nightwish in a Virtual World’ concert streamed last year across 108 countries to over 150,000 viewers.

Nightwish: Showtime, Storytime / 2013

Il concerto è stato registrato durante il Wacken Open Air, a Wacker, in Germania, il 3 agosto 2013. Showtime, Storytime è la prima produzione dei Nightwish ad avere come vocalist Floor Jansen. Contiene anche un documentario sui primi giorni di Floor, unitasi inizialmente alla band solo come sostituta di Anette Olzon e successivamente diventata membro ufficiale della band, insieme al polistrumentista Troy Donockley.

Nightwish: The Islander / 2008

The Islander (Edit). The Islander (Full Lenght Video) and Making of "The Islander" - Documentary. The music video was filmed in Rovaniemi, in Finnish Lapland, in October 2007, and Holopainen commented that they at first didn't plan to make a third video for the album, but when they were offered Finnish beauty, they couldn't resist it. He has also said that for once the lyrics actually fits with the video, which is "a sort of Lapp wilderness combined with the surrealism of Salvador Dalí". The video features guest musician Troy Donockley. The video has a steampunk theme with airships, and features the old sailor (the Islander of the title) walking along a beach through the fog dragging a boat behind him and haunted by ghosts of his past.[2] Later we see him in a flashback as a young man playing the uilleann pipes (portrayed by Troy Donockley) with trees blossoming after he ends his life by dropping anchor and being relieved of his burdens.

Directed by Ville Lipiäinen (30 Seconds To Mars, HIM) and shot with seventeen cameras at the Wacken Open Air Festival in front of 85,000 fans, the 110-minute live performance by Finland’s most beloved rockers Nightwish was the first of three final shows of the band’s 2013 “Imaginaerum World Tour” which consisted of 104 concerts in 34 countries and a total audience of over 1.5 million fans around the globe.
