Un uomo, nel corso della sua vita ha raccolto un'enorme quantità di denaro. La sua ricchezza suscita l'invidia dei suoi nipoti che sperano che il vecchio muoia al più presto per poter mettêle mani sull'ingente eredità. L'industriale è solito frequentare l'aeroporto e resta colpito da una ragazzina che lo ha scelto come dimora. Dopo alcune indagini l'uomo scopre che la bambina è un'orfanella senza casa. Dell'orfana si interessa anche un pilota che scalo dopo scalo si è interessato alla sua situazione.

Pluto si accorge che le mascotte di una base militare (tra cui il bulldog Butch) ricevono sempre della carne, così decide di travestirsi per ricevere il pasto della capra Gunther, che però consiste in una massa di rifiuti. La capra lo scopre e lo spedisce via con una testata. Pluto allora si mette in mostra davanti ai militari, masticando un pezzo di tabacco più grande di quello di Gunther. La capra gelosa, con un'altra testata, gli fa ingoiare il tabacco. Mentre Pluto è stordito, Gunther lo prepara in modo da poterlo colpire al meglio con le corna, e prende la rincorsa. Il cane però si sposta, e Gunther finisce nel magazzino degli esplosivi, saltando in aria e finendo attaccata al muso di un aereo. Pluto diventa così la nuova mascotte del reparto, ricevendo un lauto pasto.

Based on a story by Michael Linsky, Adieu Mascotte revolves around an artist's model named Mascotte (Harvey) who ekes out a hand-to-mouth existence in the Parisian art colony. In dire need of money to finance a friend's operation, Mascotte auctions herself off at an artist's ball. She is "bought" by a novelist named Jean (Harry Halm), who merely wants to teach his flirtatious wife a lesson. Discreetly keeping his distance, Jean persuades Mascotte to pose as his mistress so that his wife will become jealous and return to his arms. Of course, things don't go as planned, and before long Jean and Mascotte have fallen in love.

A toy stuffed dog has just been sewn together when it hears a young child ask for an orange. The child's mother explains that they have no money, and so she cannot buy any oranges. The dog is then packed up along with a box full of other toys to be sold, but it soon winds up in the street. The dog picks up an orange from a curb side stand, and hopes to take it home to the child. But that night, before the dog can get back to the child's home, it must face a series of strange and frightening adventures.
