Dopo aver perso la loro casa in un incendio, Sofia, 18 anni, e sua madre Carla sono costrette a convivere in una camera dell’ Hotel Rondinella. Sofia vaga nell’albergo alla ricerca di uno spazio d’intimità, facendo degli incontri inaspettati. D’un tratto, il suo mondo sembra aprirsi a mille opportunità. Carla invece deve abituarsi all’idea di lasciar partire sua figlia per gli studi. Tra le strette mura dell’albergo, madre e figlia cercano un nuovo equilibrio alla loro relazione.
