Hervé runs the Librairie Aléatoire in Amiens. In 2020, despite the pandemic, he made a liberating decision: “stop Amazon”. From the depths of his cellar full of books, which he came to prepare at night to sell them on the internet, he definitely emerged to find his shop and his regulars. Today, guided by the literature that shapes his thoughts, the bookseller dreams of a bookstore in the shape of a boat. It will float between the worlds.

The Persistent Peddler / 1988

Featuring a salesman and a consumer, this animated short is a humorous study of the patterns that define buyer-seller relationships. The Persistent Peddler is based on Claude Cloutier's hit comic strip La Légende des Jean-Guy, first introduced in Quebec humour magazine Croc.
