This animated short film by Carlos Kalonji was produced in Kinshasa as part of the beneficiary project Afriqu'Anim'Action, piloted by Studios Malembe Maa (Democratic Republic of Congo). In the film, three police officers deal with traffic infractions in the buzzing streets of a city neighborhood. A humorous tone is set from the beginning, when we see a policeman studying the rules of the highway code just minutes before beginning his shift.

Un uomo e suo figlio si recano nella regione del Gilan, da poco colpita da un terribile terremoto. Siamo nel 1990; i due vogliono scoprire se il giovane protagonista del film "Dov'è la casa del mio amico?" sia ancora vivo. Egli abita infatti in uno dei villaggi colpiti. La ricerca rivela loro che i lutti non fermano la vita e che la catastrofe non fa dimenticare i campionati del mondo di calcio. Intrecciando con grande intelligenza cinematografica realtà e finzione, Kiarostami dà un saggio della sua idea di "realismo". Ugualmente ci dimostra come sia possibile raccontare anche la più terribile tragedia con i toni della commedia. Teorico ed emozionante nello stesso tempo.

On the coast of Yugoslavia lives fisherman Ivo Kralj, his wife Marie, son Vuk, and Ivo's mother in one happy home. Marie, who loves her husband and always looks forward to his return from sea, attracts Nikola, with whom Ivo, out of jealousy, has a scuffle at a dance. After the outbreak of World War I Ivo is mobilized. He ends up in a P.O.W. camp where he is subjected to hard labour. His family then receives news of his death. The years pass and the lonely widow Marie is occasionally visited by her friend Nikola. Ivo's mother would like her to remarry. Soon after the wedding Marie becomes pregnant. Ivo, who has been thought dead, succeeds in escaping the P.O.W. camp where he has spent several years. Upon his arrival home he finds his name on a memorial erected to the victims of the war...
