Félicité / 2017

Félicité per vivere fa la cantante a Kinshasa, una mattina riceve una telefonata dall'ospedale che le comunica che suo figlio Samo rischia di perdere una gamba se la donna non trova i soldi per sostenere l'operazione. A nulla valgono i tentativi di Félicité, che seppur ha trovato il denaro necessario all'intervento, non è riuscita a salvare in tempo la gamba del figlio. L'evento l'ha così profondamente cambiata da farle perdere il gusto della vita, rifugiandosi in un mondo fatto di sogni, finchè l'amore non la riporterà alla realtà e alla sua musica.

During walks around Stanley Park in Montreal, the director became, for several months, the attentive witness of a number of events, gestures, encounters, brief, fleeting moments, privileged moments . Result of this long observation, Félicité depicts the incessant change of the seasons, making us discover, through the eyes of the artist and her magnificent pastel drawings, nature as an object of emotion and its influence on the world of man.
