Nathalie Adler is on a mission for the EU in Sicily. She organizes the next visit of Macron and Merkel to a migrant camp. Their presence has a high symbolic value to show that everything is under control. But who still wants to believe in this European family on the verge of a nervous breakdown? Probably not Albert, Nathalie's son, an NGO activist who arrives without warning. He, moreover, no longer believes in his mother.

Whilst looking for a job worthy of her talents, she pursues a series of amorous adventures with men from all walks of life. Will any of them live up to her expectations...?

Mototanaka Dérive / 2015

This film documents an aimless walk through one of Kyoto's former outcaste neighbourhoods, which continues to exist below normal Japanese living standards. Despite pro-active legislation, people from families associated with such areas can experience discrimination. The soundtrack was created using a self-built apparatus we call "The Octopus". Voltages from light sensors on the projection screen control an analogue modular synthesizer allowing the film itself to act as a score. Soundtrack created in collaboration with Malte Steiner.

This film proposes the allegory of a social drift with all the power of romantic fascination that it can evoke. It is about a meeting oftwo young people formatted by a culture of success with two men embodying a nihilistic and dematerialized vision of society. This work treads the fine line that separates the hero from the loser.. Are these two men messiahs or a pair of wandering vagrants? Is this descent on the river closer to a descent into the fires of hell or rather an initiatory journey?

L'Île à ma dérive / 1979

This film takes place on the island of Sein and reflects an experience that happened to the director, Jeanne Labrune. Before her, film crews on the trail of the sailors who, in 1940, joined De Gaulle in England, had bored the islanders. The filmmaker found herself in a position of incrustee, in a state of non-communication bordering on exclusion. Unable to obtain anything from the inhabitants, but nevertheless involved in the environment of granite and mutism of the people, she filmed herself as a "wanderer not integrated" in an island, whose tendency to fossilization she thus reveals.
