Stefan, a gay bartender in a trendy club, doesn't care a lot about his professional and personal future. One night, the mysterious Martin stares at him, so he thinks that his guest searches a quick love affair. Stefan invites him to his apartment, where Martin is rather surprised at his intentions and explains that he doesn't want sex, but his attention for their common past. Martin searches his father, a foreign worker from Italy, who is also Stefan's originator, which he didn't know. Their mother kept Martin, while Stefan was adopted. After the first shock, Stefan decides to join his "new brother" on his trip to Italy. They only have some photos and letters of a holiday trip to Cattolica and their father's name: Giuseppe Iacoviello. This is the beginning of an odyssey across Italy and their way to themselves...

In un quartiere residenziale di Roma sorge una nota scuola cattolica maschile dove vengono educati i ragazzi della migliore borghesia. Le famiglie sentono che in quel contesto i loro figli possono crescere protetti dai tumulti che stanno attraversando la società e che quella rigida educazione potrà spalancare loro le porte di un futuro luminoso. Nella notte tra il 29 e il 30 settembre del 1975 qualcosa si rompe e quella fortezza di valori inattaccabili crolla sotto il peso di uno dei più efferati crimini dell’epoca: il delitto del Circeo. I responsabili sono infatti ex studenti di quella scuola frequentata anche da Edoardo, che prova a raccontare cosa ha scatenato tanta cieca violenza in quelle menti esaltate da idee politiche distorte e un’irrefrenabile smania di supremazia.

The Zapatero government, in its first year in office, has resulted in the approval of numerous laws, some of which deal with particularly ethically sensitive matters and have aroused (and are arousing) great debate both within the country and abroad. In this context, a Spanish television station, impressed by the interest aroused abroad by these issues, particularly in Italy, wondered about the perception of these matters (especially same-sex unions) among the Italian population. That is why it sent its own crew to Italy, specifically to Rome and Lazio, to make a documentary focusing on their opinions, in an environment steeped in Catholicism and close, even physically, to the Vatican. Andrea Miguel Hernandez, director of the investigation, however, will find himself catapulted into a situation that is very personal to him. A woman he had loved in Madrid several years earlier now lives in Rome and is romantically linked to a woman...
