Kina e Yuk alla scoperta del mondo / 2023

Kina e Yuk sono una coppia di volpi polari pronte a mettere su famiglia e vivono serenamente fra i banchi di ghiaccio del Canada. La temperatura, però, è anormalmente mite e il cibo scarseggia, costringendo Yuk ad avventurarsi sempre più lontano per cacciare. Quando, all'improvviso, un terribile suono causato dallo scioglimento dei ghiacci sconvolge il maestoso panorama e separa le due volpi, ognuna isolata su un pezzo di ghiaccio. Dovranno affrontare molti pericoli ed esplorare nuovi territori nella speranza di ritrovarsi in tempo per la nascita dei loro piccoli.

Deciso a dar loro una mano, Maurice unisce le sue forze a quelle del facocero Fred, del pipistrello Batricia, del gorilla Miguel e del tarsio Gilbert. Insieme agli strambi amici, vivrà un'avventura che non dimenticherà facilmente.

Il giovane Luke vive nella regione artica in cui nascono gli orsi polari. Il padre è morto annegato fra i ghiacci e la madre, che è una ricercatrice, cerca di proteggere lui e la sorella Abby da ogni pericolo. Un giorno un'orsa bianca si avvicina all'abitato della città di Devon e le forze dell'ordine, dopo averla narcotizzata, la trasportano presso il lontano Cape Resolute. Peccato che l'orsa avesse con sé un cucciolo che viene ritrovato a Devon proprio da Luke. Da quel momento il ragazzo farà il possibile per ricongiungere il piccolo, che ribattezzerà con il nome Nanuk (in lingua inuit significa "orso vagabondo"), con la sua mamma.
