Adam's Rib is an American situation comedy broadcast on ABC-TV from September 14 to December 28, 1973. It was produced by MGM Television and had 13 episodes. The series was a TV adaptation of the 1949 motion picture of the same name.

Esasperata dai tradimenti del marito, Doris Attinger, comprata una pistola, segue lo stesso fino a casa dell'amante, per poi sparargli. Solo l'inesperienza con le armi impedisce alla donna di uccidere il fedifrago che se la cava con delle ferite. In tribunale il caso è affidato al viceprocuratore distrettuale Adamo Bonner. Sua moglie, l'avvocato Amanda Bonner, paladina dei diritti delle donne, assume la difficile difesa apparentemente disperata, della signora Attinger. Adamo è molto contrariato dal dover fronteggiare sua moglie che, sapendo molto determinata, gli sarà sicuramente ostile in aula con conseguenze che immagina turberanno la loro felice unione. Amanda sembra invece divertirsi nello stuzzicare il marito che, come la maggior parte degli uomini dell'epoca, non riconosce, di fatto, alle donne quella parità di diritti che le stesse hanno conquistato.

The young Bulgarian Muslim woman Zyulker wants to study and become a teacher. Her father decides to arrange a marriage to her. After the wedding, she runs away and goes to the town. There she starts work in a hostel. Her husband takes her back. He beats and humiliates her. She gives birth to her child prematurely, takes the baby and goes to the school for Muslim in the town. She has to surmount many difficulties. The young woman meets her first teacher Stefanov. The two fall in love. With his help, Zyulker finishes her study successfully and makes up her mind to return to her native village as a teacher. Stefanov follows her and proposes to her. The two embrace.
