Resurrection / 1960

Katusha, a country girl, is seduced and abandoned by Prince Nekludov. Nekludov finds himself, years later, on a jury trying the same Katusha for a crime he now realizes his actions drove her to. He follows her to imprisonment in Siberia, intent on redeeming her and himself as well.

Ma il cadavere sparisce e Clavio avvia un'indagine che mette progressivamente in dubbio le sue certezze di scettico e si fa ad un certo punto ricerca di altro genere, interrogativo che gli cambia la vita.

Con ogni stratagemma, la donna lotta ferocemente contro la comunità libertaria che si è installata in casa sua per quel che ritiene le appartenga. Allontanata da Tolstoj riuscirà a rivederlo solo in punto di morte, nell'ultima stazione.
