Un uomo quando piove viene torturato da strani incubi. Tuttavia, questi incubi diventano troppo pesanti per lui al punto che cerca aiuto dalla fidanzata. Nel tentativo di chiamarla rompe il telefono e quando in casa arriva un esperto in riparazioni, sarà accompagnato da spettrali creature e “vampiri”. L’uomo non sa che ricevendoli sarà destinato a essere perseguitato da questi mostri che cercheranno di portarlo nel loro allucinante mondo!

Four filmmakers working in the region of Galicia (in the northwest of Spain) follow and portray on the screen Galician artists working in disciplines of different nature. The result is four pieces around the creative process of these artists. Lois Patiño film their parents working on their paintings in their studio in Vigo, Jaione Camborda films dancer Janet Novás rehearsing for one of her pieces, Xisela Franco follows film director Margarita Ledo revisiting the location of her latest film Nation and Alfonso Zarauza reflects on the relationship between actress-director by putting together the work of Melania Cruz in two of their collaborations.

The Sight / 2000
The American successful architect Michael Lewis travels to London with his partner and friend, the builder Jake, to refurbish an old hotel. Michael is having successive nightmares, and once in London, he realizes that twenty-one spirits are trying to contact him to solve murders of a serial killer. Michael, with the support of Jake, Detective Pryce and the ghosts, try to avoid the ninth crime and find the serial-killer.

The theme of death is heavily interwoven in Smolder’s surreal salute to Belgian painter Antoine Wiertz, a Hieronymus Bosch-type artist whose work centered on humans in various stages in torment, as depicted in expansive canvases with gore galore. Smolders has basically taken a standard documentary and chopped it up, using quotes from the long-dead artist, and periodic statements by a historian (Smolders) filling in a few bits of Wiertz’ life.
