A Question for Love / 2000
This film almost literally visualize three short stories on which it is based. The difficulty was to assign real spaces in the film for the world of short stories that does not require material reality. The question of ”What is love?” is stretched into three periods: the 70s, the 80s and the 90s. The story which is divided into three periods is trying to reveal the story of the main characters through three different periods of their lives.
One or Two Questions / 2018
In 1986, the Uruguayan Parliament passed a law granting amnesty for all crimes and human rights violations committed by the military and police during the dictatorship (1973-85). This law of impunity prevented the clarification demanded by the relatives of those who had disappeared and been murdered by the former regime. A public initiative arose calling for a referendum in which the law be subject to the vote of the people. Unas preguntas uses U-matic footage, mostly of interviews recorded on the streets of Uruguay between 1987 and 1989, to present a time capsule of the period.

Questioning similarities and differences and cinematically seeking an impossible closeness - As an imagined dialogue between the filmmaker and his late father Ulrich Mühe, this film becomes an attempt to find answers to those questions that were not asked during his lifetime. A prologue and five chapters were assembled from found footage, in which accusation and attempted explanation, appeasement and reinforcement clash and oscillate between fiction and reality.

Mapping ideological and political currents that are presently unraveling the European Union, Eurasia describes fake news as a man-made proxy of the indifference that an artificial intelligence may feel toward the human condition. Through modes of science fiction, documentary, and folk tale, Eurasia creates an immersion within layers of media production, wrapping facts in fictions, and fictions in facts.

... is a travesty (= comical satirical transformation of serious content) on 100 years of archaeological work at the medieval settlement site of Haithabu near Schleswig, where in 1979 the only known Viking ship on German soil was recovered - a magnet also for non-scientific, political desires. The oldest film footage used in it are copies of a privately owned 16 mm B/W film and date from the 1930s, when the SS-Ahnenerbe, under the direction of SS-Obersturmbannführer Dr. Herbert Jankuhn of the CAU Kiel, carried out large-scale excavations on the site of the old settlement within the semicircular rampart from 1930 onwards and unearthed a wealth of significant finds. Further photographs come from the excavation of the 1960s under the direction of Dr. Kurt Schietzel (CAU Kiel).
