20 Years as a Woman Reporter / 1978
Jung Kyung-hwa started teaching at the age of 18 and she begins a new career as a journalist in Youngnam Daily. When her first article appeared on the newspaper, she felt happy. But she was enraged when her exclusive story about the corruption of an orphanage got ignored. In the meantime, she met another journalist, Kim and managed a life of a wife and a journalist through the times of the student revolution in 1960 and the military coup in the following year. She did catch the exclusive interview with President Pak Jung-hi and contributed to enhance the Youngnam Daily's name.

On September the 4th, 1969, a group of Brazilian revolutionaries kidnap the U.S. ambassador. In exchange for his release, they demand that the Brazilian authorities publish a manifesto they provide, and release 15 political prisoners.
Wang Keqin: Reporter / 2005
Wang Keqin was a reporter who dared to expose corrupt officialdom. Because his articles directly exposed stock market corruption and local government brutality to the public, people threatened to pay 500,000 yuan for his head. This attracted the attention of Premier Zhu Rongji. Wang was instructed to employ protection. This film documents Wang Keqin's interview experience in Min County, Gansu Province. Wang Keqin once wrote reports about officials oppressing the people there, which received widespread attention, so the cadres were brought to justice. The general public increased their legal awareness as a result of this incident, which also resulted in challenges to township governance. In the days that followed, the farmers who defended their rights continued to experience retaliation from the village cadres, and they kept calling Wang Keqin about their experiences.

The film subverts the conventions of mainstream television news coverage to investigate in great detail the killing of a young protester during clashes with the riot police and thus denounces the increasing use of repressive violence by the government.

Brazilian boy Gabriel Matos is still very young when he learns that the 2014 World Cup will be held in his home country. He had no way of knowing that his life would be turned upside down by then. To transport hundreds of thousands supporters to the football stadium, a new rail line is being developed to run straight through his neighborhood. Houses are being demolished, entire families are forced to move and even the children’s local football pitch will soon disappear. For Gabriel this is a nightmare. He is angry at the inequality in his city and posts self-made footage of bulldozers tearing down his neighborhood on a blog. By becoming a journalist he tries to stand up for his rights.

Rightist Li Sheng Zhao’s Hunger Report / 2018
Li Sheng Zhao was born in a landlord family in Sichuan. He used to be a soldier, and then became a student in the Department of Economics at Sichuan University in the spring of 1961. After he became a rightist, Mr. Li was escorted to his hometown of Long Chang County in Sichuan province. He observed that people were dying with hunger in his way to hometown. With his investigative experience in army, Mr. Li was called for conscience and justice, and started a private investigation. He braved the risk of death to write this hunger report to the central party committee leaders, requesting them to take measures to save the country. Although he received a reply from Ma Yin Chu, the former president of Peking University, and Deng Zi Hui, the former vice premier of the State Council, this did not prevent him from becoming a counter-revolutionary and getting into jail for 18 years.

Takarazuka Flower Troupe 2007 performance. Based on Edogawa Rampo's novel The Black Lizard, which has had many movie and play adaptations. The Takarazuka version will be brimming over with period romance, set at the turn of the Taisho/Heiwa Eras. As the tale of thrills and suspense between the gloomy and reclusive great detective Akechi Kogorou and the master of disguise and female thief the Black Lizard (who is forever switching between western clothing and kimono) unfolds, it comes to a conclusion different from Mishima Yukio's version. Tuxedo Jazz was the associated revue show.
