In the 11th century, there was a powerful and sensitive man, Al-Mu’tamid Ibn Abbad, whose personality became mythological. His life took place in the territory today divided by Portugal, Spain and Morocco. In the 21st century, a contemporary man undertakes the journey through this territory in search of the myth. As the journey unfolds, the traveler embodies the figure and personality of the poet king dialoguing with those he meets on the way, assimilating the issues that he struggled with, the feelings and contradictions he lived, questioning himself. Time is made of cycles. So are we.

The Director managed to accurately recreate the historic era, to convey the atmosphere of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum in the years of the formation of the poetic genius of Pushkin.

Death of the Poet / 2005

On July 25, 1980, the great Russian poet Vladimir Vysotsky died. He was 42 years old. He did not die in a duel like Pushkin and Lermontov, did not fall from a bullet and a noose like Mayakovsky and Yesenin. The cause of his death was no less dramatic. Vysotsky struggled with death for a long time. But by the beginning of 1980, this duel turned into a fierce fight. After 25 years, we present the first documentary evidence of this struggle. Everyone has the right to their own judgment about the death of a great poet, but no one's judgment can claim absolute truth. According to eyewitnesses, after the meeting of the new 1980, Vysotsky's disease began to progress and turned into a real agony. We will reconstruct the events with chronological accuracy from January 1 up to July 25, 1980. In our film, people who knew Vysotsky intimately in the last year of his life tell us.

Leonardo Bastião, The Illiterate Poet /

How the World Is Losing Poets / 1982

Inseparable friends Štěpán and Kendy are students in their final year of high school. When they are in the principal's office after the trouble with the rather scandalous song "On the Carpet", the school principal gives them the idea of ​​rehearsing a theater performance. They decide on Tyl's Forest Maiden in a rather unconventional version - with music, singing, and several unusual props. While Kendy sees the theater as not only an opportunity to enjoy himself, for Štěpán it is a chance to get closer to the charming Marcela Borůvková. What was originally just a student recession soon starts to get out of hand for both authors, not only because of the quirky cast but also because of information in the press, which is taken care of by the father of one of the classmates. The business is gaining in size, and even a television station is contacted, which shows an interest in making a program about the performance. At that moment, the disaster seems inevitable to Štěpán and Kendy.
