The film follows Truong as he ruminates over memories, photos and films, and also conducts a host of interviews with Vietnamese relatives and officials to present a personal and long awaited Vietnamese perspective to the war.

Erich Langeder's film project came about when, in autumn 2017, numerous members of the pre-monastery expressed their desire for a film about their pre-monastery during a district meeting for this year's 100th anniversary celebration. But he will have time to write only the first part, where he will again and again return to the almost unconscious childish act of one day in August 1946. The final collaboration between Hiroshi Teshigahara and Kobo Abe, 240 Hours in a Day is a four-panel projection produced for the 1970 Osaka Expo. Set in the near future, a scientist invents an accelerator that increases the speed of human activity tenfold.
