Parigi, 2020. In una società in cui i super eroi sono all'ordine del giorno e perfettamente integrati si diffonde una sostanza misteriosa che fornisce poteri speciali a coloro che non ne hanno. Di fronte al crescente numero di incidenti, i tenenti Moreau e Schaltzmann ricevono il compito di indagare su chi ha diffuso la sostanza. Con l'aiuto di Monté Carlo e Callista, due ex giustizieri, faranno di tutto per fermare il traffico ma il complicato passato di Moreau renderà la missione tutt'altro che facile.

La semplice sparizione della farfalla dall'ecosistema di 65 milioni di anni prima, fa sì che nel tempo presente si creino delle onde temporali a scadenza periodica, ed ognuna di esse alteri progressivamente l'ecosistema, ma anche la flora e la fauna del tempo presente.
