Templar Film Trilogy /
A short film about an unnamed character's obsession with walls being shattered in an instant. I wanted to experiment with this film, hence the strange premise. The film was directed, edited and filmed by me and I was also responsible for the base story. A lot of the film was highly improvised and I would decide on what direction to take the film as we walked around looking for walls. This film was really fun to make and I learnt a lot about film-making in the process.

Composer and pianist Vijay Iyer examines issues of immigration and race through his music; his work touches the heart of Garnette, a “man of the streets” from Kingston, Jamaica. Rapper and activist Talib Kweli inspires and transforms the life of Mike, a “Hip Hop” architect from Detroit.

END Trilogy / 2008
"END is a work dedicated to the planet's most remote locations – a visual requiem for extreme lands, a trip through the most distant peripheries of civilisation, where people and the environment are melded together. END is a research project into the image and the imagination of the end. Given its world premiere at HangarBicocca in Milan, for which it has been specially created as part of the wider Terre Vulnerabili project, END is a three-screen installation that represents a selection of the works produced by Carlos Casas during the decades of arduous research he carried out in the Aral sea, Patagonia and Siberia, channelled into three documentary films, a lengthy series of single-channel videos and various audio-visual live events." - Excerpt from a text by Andrea Lissoni.

Remembering: Clearing Space (Part 1 of Balinese Trilogy) / 1976
"At one level, Lee's title creates a pun on the film's organizing principles, re-membering, as the filmmaker dismembers and recombines elements of the image and soundtracks. But the Balinese source material of REMEMBERINGL CLEARING SPACE is not merely a fortuitous opportunity to explore fundamental qualities of the film medium. Rather, Lee attempts to inscribe into the film's form qualities of Balinese performance and dance." –William

Quantification Trilogy / 2018
In the sci-fi tinged Quantification Trilogy, Jeremy Shaw’s characters escape the physical world through ecstatic practices. The three inventive, interconnected "para-fictions" that make up the trilogy deal with "Quantum Humans": immortal, cyborg-like entities who use dance as a ritual to transcend the oppression of technology. Using vintage means to craft each mid-length film, the Vancouver-born artist creates a fascinating work about the relationship between the individual and the collective.
