Hai cercato: The Note
Notes From The Integrated Circuit / 2022
"This film is a culmination of my meditations with objects, both with and without a camera present, in order to attempt 3 things: breaking down the binaries that separate me from the objects, destabilize my hierarchical position over the object, and to peer into the objects' history and their possible thoughts/emotions. The title is the combination of two essential reference points: Notes From Underground (Dostoevsky) and A Cyborg Manifesto (Haraway)." -Connor Parsley

Notes for Those Beginning the Discipline of Architecture - Alternate Ending 1 : the Glimmering Noise /
Architecture is a discipline plagued by its own insecurities, a curious mixture of optimism and pessimism, momentary successes and, more commonly, deep frustrations. In this new publication, Michael Meredith, Assistant Professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, tackles the problems facing the discipline head-on, interrogating its internal dynamics and searching for a mode of practice that can survive amid the confusing, conflicting demands of contemporary culture. Nominally addressed to students entering the field, "Notes for those beginning the discipline of architecture" is a scathing take on the profession from one of its emerging young practitioners, outlining its pitfalls, its excruciating failures, and in spite of it all its undeniable potentials.

Playing a Note on the Violin While I Walk Around in the Studio / 1968
In this film record of a studio activity, Nauman set himself the task of walking while playing "two notes [on a violin] very close together so that you could hear the beats in the harmonics." The camera is set centrally in the studio in a stationary position so that when he walks outside of the camera's view at times, only the sounds of the notes and footsteps are heard. Sound and image are out of sync, a situation noticeable only at the end of the film when the sound stops but Nauman continues to pace and play. [Overview Courtesy of Electronic Arts Intermix]

A strange, almost surreal quality illustrating the transitional nature of life.

Bending the Note: the Story of Siren / 2022
A documentary about the Brighton-based punk, lesbian, and political activist band Siren, with members now in their 60s and 70s. Siren is an all-women lesbian band and theatre company formed in 1979 at the height of Thatcher’s Britain. They aimed their artistic expression at the twin enemies of the day – Margaret Thatcher’s conservatism and the sexist assumptions that were built deep into the social infrastructure. Influenced by Punk and New Wave music, they forged their own style of songs that had at its core a critique of life under the cloud of the reactionary conservatism of the 1980s in Britain. Siren re-formed as a band in 2014 and continues to compose and perform.
