Damnation of Faust Trilogy / 1987
1. Damnation of Faust: Evocation - Using "found" imagery shot in a SoHo playground, the first part of the Damnation of Faust trilogy explores the possible relations between childhood play and a woman looking on from outside. Without dialogue, the gestures of the characters become their primary mode of communication. Visual motifs of pillars and fans, achieved through video wipes, plunge the viewer into the image while building parallels of movement and feeling. 2. Damnation of Faust: Will-o'-the-Wisp (A Deceitful Goal) - The second part of the Faust project centers on the development of Marguerite, the female character in the Faust legend. 3. Evocation of Faust: Charming Landscape - The final work in the Damnation of Faust trilogy, ironically titled Charming Landscape, investigates the way in which the urban landscape is a place "where you lose your identity."

The Morgenstern & Boyd Trilogy / 2017
“The Meadow”, a film by so far unsuccessful director Fritz Aigner, causes a surprising stir at the Venice film festival. As a result, a notable producer tasks Aigner to shoot a sequel. The making of the film turns out to be a disaster. As the entire film crew rebels against the director’s growing delusions of grandeur, he finds himself confronted with the antagonists of his own fiction: Morgenstern and Boyd. They suck him into a spiral of sexual obsessions and omnipotent fantasies, at the end of which there can only be the failure of the film or death itself.
The Pacific War: A Trilogy - Kwai /
Kwai tells the story of the 'railway of death' immortalized in David Lean's movie The Bridge on the River Kwai. The rail line linked Rangoon and Bangkok and was part of Japan's war strategy to send troops throughout Asia. The building of this railway by frail and weak prisoners proved to be a living hell: 100,000 coolies and 26,000 Allied POWs died of disease, hunger and exhaustion in 15 months. The survivors and compelling images retell their nightmare first-hand. This series sheds light on three tragic episodes of the war in the Pacific that are often overlooked in the history books. During several years of research, the director recorded the memories of both Western and Asian eyewitnesses, while uncovering never-before-seen archival footage.
The Pacific War: A Trilogy - Saipan /
Award-winning director Serge Viallet uses never-before-seen archival film from the Second World War as well as interviews to understand the tragedy that took place on one of the Mariana Islands when 70,000 American soldiers landed there in June 1944. The island of Saipan had an important Japanese military base and a civilian population of several thousand. In a state of panic, soldiers and civilians fled toward the north of the island. Terrified by the Yankee enemy they had seen in anti-American propaganda, or perhaps motivated by a moral code that forbids surrender, thousands of Japanese committed suicide. This series sheds light on three tragic episodes of the war in the Pacific that are often overlooked in the history books. During several years of research, the director recorded the memories of both Western and Asian eyewitnesses, while uncovering never-before-seen archival footage.

The Process Trilogy / 2019
The Process Trilogy is an experimental short film trilogy in which the audience answer questions which determines their edit of the film. This trilogy follows three seemingly separate stories: a horror film fan dealing with insomnia and 'another self', an artist struggling with her masterpiece and two clowns who may never find the punchline. The pieces centre around bittersweet comedy, bleak surrealism and experimental filmmaking and mark the third creative project from ChewBoy Productions. They deal with the facts that we may never find happiness in our lives or our work, and that ultimately, we always end up back where we started. Before the screening, audiences were invited to answer a series of questions. We then put all the answers into our algorithm, creating a truly individual cut of the films which were representative of the room's overall worldview, perceptions, personality and feeling. This version of the film is a suggested edit.
