In questo cortometraggio vediamo l'ape Spike intenta ad ascoltare la musica alla radio mentre Paperino assume il comportamento dell'americano medio, infatti lui vuole ascoltare la partita di baseball. I due iniziano a farsi i dispetti e a cambiare canale più volte ma a un certo punto Spike si stufa e cerca di pungere Paperino che riesce a scappare in casa. L'ape però di nuovo cambia canale allora Paperino decide di costruire una radio fasulla con all'interno un cadelotto di dinamite e furtivamente riesce a scambiarla con quella vera e a mettere la partita. Spike allora decide di cambiare canale, ma così facendo fa esplodere la bomba. Intanto la partita raggiunge il momento finale e Paperino inizia a correre per le basi del giardino ma l'ape per vendicarsi si mette alla fine del percorso puntando il suo pungiglione verso il sedere di Paperino. Quest'ultimo fa una scivolata per concludere il percorso, ma finisce per essere punto sul sedere da Spike.
