Dopo che il fuorilegge Ransom Pride viene ucciso in una cittadina del Messico, dove stava trattando la vendita di un carico d'armi, la sua amante mezzosangue Juliette Flowers, per esaudirne la volontà, decide di recuperarne il corpo per seppellirlo vicino alla madre nella fattoria natale nel Texas. Juliette si offre di riscattarne l'anima consegnandole in cambio il giovane Champ, fratello del fuorilegge, che è sempre rimasto nei confini della legalità. La bruja la avverte che una donna pronta a un simile gesto è oltre ogni possibilità di salvezza, ma Juliette non è tipo da fermarsi davanti a niente, neanche ai bounty killers che il reverendo Early, padre dei due fratelli, le mette alle costole per farla eliminare e farsi riportare l'unico figlio ancora vivo.
