Lui a sua volta soccombe al suo fascino e presto si rendono conto che il loro problema principale è il suo sacro voto di celibato.

Durante la risoluzione di un mistero, Scooby viene stordito da suoni strani al punto di farlo scappare fino ad Altrove, nel Kansas, una cittadina sperduta nel deserto. Qui si imbatte nel pavido cane rosa Leone, cacciato di casa dal burbero padrone Giustino poiché anche lui era infastidito dai suoni. Dopo essersi presentati, i cani vengono attaccati da insetti giganti ma il resto della Mystery Inc. riesce a trovarli tramite un chip nascosto nel collare di Scooby e a soccorrerli. Dopo aver cacciato gli insetti che Velma capisce essere cicale, Marilù, anziana moglie di Giustino, invita i ragazzi a mangiare qualcosa. I ragazzi si intrattengono in qualche chiacchiera con la coppia e mentre Marilù propone i suoi indovinelli a Velma, Scooby e Leone vengono attaccati da un mostro di peli che esce dal lavandino.

Paperino si reca a casa della fidanzata Paperina, offrendosi di aprirle la finestra. Non riuscendoci (in realtà è solo perché non l'ha sbloccata), Paperino s'infuria talmente tanto da distruggere qualsiasi cosa trovi nella stanza. Allora Paperina gli ordina di andarsene e non farsi più vedere finché non avrà cambiato carattere. Paperino s'imbatte su un annuncio su di un giornale e trova la soluzione al suo problema: acquista una "macchina da offese" per curare il suo caratteraccio. La macchina gli fa una serie di scherzi, anche pesanti, offendendolo per dieci minuti, ma il papero riesce a resistere; infine la macchina gli consegna un diploma da "papero nuovo". Così Paperino va da Paperina, mostrandole i risultati. Paperina, soddisfatta, decide di uscire con lui, ma quando Paperino vede il suo cappello nuovo si mette a ridere. Allora Paperina inizia a picchiarlo con una scopa, dimostrando anch'essa di avere un caratteraccio da curare.
