Using poetic visual language, OCTAVIA’S VISIONS interweaves Butler’s worlds with contemporary issues of environmental degradation, far right extremism, and social liberation. The poetic piece expresses a queer utopian imaginary, a longing to create out of the old something new.

Visions is the first DVD box of Dutch symphonic rockband Plackband. It contains most of the songs that brought Plackband fame since the band's first performance in 1977. Built with four frames within one, half of the screen in motion, the other still, this film makes the viewer feel that they are watching a "moving picture." The sensation one gets is of tension...expectation...shock. It freezes one in a frame. The glorious, trenchant music of R. Murray Schafer in the background further adds to the intense "high" of the film.
