The Sounds of This City is a short documentary focusing on three musical performers and the struggles of pursuing a passion while dealing with everyday difficulties. The three subjects are varied by age and status as musicians, each performing at different levels and for different reasons. The three are also linked by the relation they have to the city of Lancaster with the student and lecturer attending Lancaster University and the local performer being born in the region and having a strong tie to the area’s nightlife and music scene.

Sounds of the West - Straight Outa Bristol / 1996
TV documentary series originally aired in 1996, entitled "Sounds Of The West", which examined the music being produced in the West of England. This particular episode named "Straight Outa Bristol" focused on the eponymous "Bristol Sound" and features interviews with DJ Milo (formerly of The Wild Bunch), Massive Attack, Tricky and Portishead. Music journalist, Phil Johnson, who would go on to write a book on this same subject, also weighs in on his feelings regarding the impact that Bristol had on the rest of dance music at the time.
