A woman who likes her table to be sparkly clean. People use bags for every little thing, a convenience of life we enjoy every day. Too much waste? No problem, just flush them all down the toilet!

Eldad is about to go abroad, but changes his mind at the last minute. Instead of going home to Jerusalem, he disguises himself and takes a cheap hotel room in Tel Aviv. There he meets the receptionist Judy who he makes believe he'll marry so she can go to American with him and get a working visa there. In another disguise he is mistaken for a deaf-mute Arab and joins a group of them both at their Israeli construction site and back in their village.

Gavroche veut faire un riche mariage / 1912

Gavroche lives by his wit, so when he reads an ad, which tells that a rich American girl will marry the man who can cause her to experience the greatest thrill or sensation, he puts his mental ingenuity working, and he conceives a plan to win. He calls at her address and sees two suitors try and fail. He then goes to a menagerie, where he buys two lions. With these he returns and enters the office where the contract is to be signed if he should prove the victor. All flee before Gavroche and his lions, all but the heiress, who flies into his arms begging protection. Thus it is that he caused her the greatest emotion or thrill and she gladly names him victor and husband-to-be.

One in a series of works exploring the materiality and texture of hand-processed small gauge film, and the qualities of indeterminacy, and serendipity. The raw materials are long-expired Kodachrome film and film developers made from household ingredients. My tools are old super 8 cameras purchased cheaply in flea markets and an obsolete telecine machine, acquired in exchange for a song.
