This film, made in one afternoon, is an "inspired promenade," the discovery of an exhibition with improvised text and commentary. Five shot sequences of ten minutes apiece, following the chronological order of the history of cinema as conceived by Henri Langlois thirty years ago. Two weeks later, the Musée was devastated by a fire at Palais de Chaillot. It is thus the final testament, full of emotion and passion, of the last masterwork of Henri Langlois.

Last Friday 12 Sept. 2021 , the Swiss Criminal Court issued its first judgment against Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahd Al-Sabah, President of the Olympic Council of Asia (resigned from him last Friday), the former Kuwaiti minister and a member of the ruling family, after convicting him of forging a Swiss arbitration award linked to a “fake coup plot.” Al-Fahd tried to promote it to eliminate his political opponents inside Kuwait, namely the former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, and the late former Speaker of the National Assembly (parliament) Jassem Al-Kharafi, according to Reuters.

"Prelude to an Announced Death" (5', 1991) is the artist's final work, completed shortly before his demise. It is one of the rare moments in which França's work in video assumes a quasi-documentary character. Set against a dramatic rendition of "La Traviata" by Brazilian singer Bidu Sayão, the artist's body touches that of his partner, Geraldo Rivello, as the names of all their friends killed by AIDS scroll across the screen above them.

A Search Has Been Announced... / 1981

Several major robberies take place in Leningrad and the region, but the criminal leaves no trace. The Inurkollegia announces that the administrator of the boarding house "Otdykh" Balyasin unexpectedly receives a large sum of money as an inheritance, and the police decide to set a trap for the criminal, believing that he will not pass by such money. An employee of the Criminal Investigation Department arrives at the boarding house, and it soon becomes clear that the elusive criminal is one of the vacationers at the boarding house.
