The Outcasts was a 1961 Australian television mini-series. A period drama, it was broadcast live, though with some film inserts. All episodes survive as kinescope recordings

High-School Outcasts / 1970

Tsutomu (Kensaku Morita), an orphan who once stabbed a man, is released from a reformatory and goes to Tottori, on the Japan Sea coast, to enter a high school. On the beach, he meets a young fisherman, Yusuke (Norihiko Yamamoto) also a student of the same school. They become friends and Tsutomu is offered free board at Yusuke's home.

Based on the book written by author Pai Hsien-yung and first published in 1983 in Taiwan. A-Qing, a young student is discovered during sex by a night watchman, young A-Qing is beaten and expelled from home by his violent abusive father. In a public park in Taipei he is found by Yang (a middle-aged photographer), who introduces him to three other teenage boys--all abandoned by their families because they were gay. They form a kind of surrogate family. When A-Qing meets Wang Kei-Lung, he falls madly in love.

Damien and his friends are garbage collectors in a small provincial town. One day, Damien finds a decomposing corpse in the dump where he works, but also a knife that turns out to be his. Because of his personal and social environment (an omnipresent mother, humiliating friends, an unenviable situation) and because he arrives at a moment in his life when he realizes that he is nothing to anyone, Damien wants to prove that he is capable of doing something with his life, of becoming someone, by finding the murderer who is prowling around the dump. In the course of his investigation, he meets Julie, a young divorced woman who is a little lost and who moves in across the street from him. But as his investigations progress, Damien wonders if he is not the killer he is looking for.

Zhang Chu Lan was a normal college student until he gets caught up in a terrible incident in a small village while visiting his grandfather's grave. While walking through the graveyard to pay visit to his deceased grandfather, Chu Lan is assaulted by zombies until a mysterious girl wielding a knife appears and leads him to a confrontation with the zombies. After successfully fending off the zombies and further encounters with the knife wielding girl known as Feng Bao Bao, Chu Lan's life begins to change as he learns that the martial arts technique taught to him by his grandfather, the technique is being sought after by many martial arts groups with ulterior motives. The story follows Chu Lan's attempt to find out his grandfather's real history and his supposed connection with Feng Bao Bao.

On the wedding day of Taraneh and Saeed, Parviz, a former friend of Taraneh, calls her and demands twenty thousand tomans in return for her souvenir photos and letters. Taraneh asks Atefeh, the wife of his brother Iraj (Manochehar Vathouq), to deliver the money to Parviz in the north. Atefeh calls Parviz, and Parviz tricks Atefeh to the beach and takes a number of photos with Atefeh by his friend and then extorts her in exchange for the photos.

El Matareed / 2023

A young man returns home hoping to sell his late father's soccer club and cash in — only to find he must first overhaul the comically abysmal operation.

Pariah / 1998

An interracial couple is attacked and the woman is gang-raped in a random attack. This prompts the woman to commit suicide and the man decides to seek revenge from the inside by joining the gang. However, once inside he learns of the reasons (poverty, social rejection) for their existence and starts developing a kinship until he is asked to kill someone to prove his loyalty.
