Anno 2201. La Terra è entrata in una fase di pace e prosperità. La corazzata Yamato, che aveva salvato la Terra dalla minaccia di Gamilas, è ormai destinata allo smaltimento, superata dalla nuova classe di corazzate spaziali Andromeda. Ma un giorno viene captata una richiesta di aiuto proveniente dall’ultima sopravvissuta del misterioso pianeta Terasat. Una voce femminile avverte dell’avanzata di un enorme cometa bianca, che distrugge ogni cosa al suo passaggio.
