Revak, lo schiavo di Cartagine / 1960
Durante una battaglia, il giovane Revak viene preso in ostaggio dall'esercito cartaginese per garantirsi le vettovaglie. Il governatore Kenus, uomo violento e dispotico, dopo aver seviziato e fustigato il prigioniero, decide di farlo salire a bordo di una nave diretta a Cartagine dove viene rinchiuso nella stiva e costretto ai remi come schiavo. Arrivato a Cartagine, Revak viene nuovamente picchiato e poi costretto a battersi con un gladiatore. Poiché vince, lo schiavo attrae l'attenzione di Cherata, la sorella del governatore, che lo convoca spesso a palazzo e se ne innamora. Però Revak non può dimenticare le offese e i soprusi subiti e decide di organizzare, con la complicità di un mercenario greco, una sommossa tra gli schiavi.

Kubilai, capo mongolo, tende a Maciste molte imboscate per cercare di ucciderlo; in una di queste perde la vita Arias. Alla fine con l'arrivo di Vladimiro e la vittoria in una grande battaglia i mongoli vengono sconfitti e la principessa viene salvata, ora Maciste però dovrebbe rinunciare al suo amore per lei, ma invece è lei che rinuncia al trono per poter continuare a stare con lui.

Elliot Straive is a college professor who has left the evils of civilization behind to raise his son Eric in the purity of the Canadian wilderness. James Heatherton sends Mark Grant to get the mining rights to Straive's land as vast deposits of iron ore have been discovered there. Grant arrives as the elder Straive lies dying and has written a final note to his absent son. Grant tears off the portion of the letter with Straive's signature and forges a concession to the mining rights above the signature. Heatherton, dissatisfied with the unwitnessed signature of a dead man, decides to to himself to get Eric Straive to sign the concession. He sends his family on ahead on vacation. The family hires Eric as a guide, thinking him to be a mere backwoods barbarian. Eric and Heatherton's daughter Floria fall in love, but the relationship falters when she confesses that she has lied to him about why they are there. Grant returns upon the scene and tries to force Eric to sign.
Amongst Barbarians / 1990
Amongst Barbarians is set far away from Margaret Thatcher's Britain in Penang, Malaysia, a former British colony, where two young Englishmen have been arrested for drug trafficking. As they both face the death penalty, their relatives travel to Penang to come to their rescue. However, they soon find out that there is nothing they can do to save the boys' lives. In the course of their futile attempts at influencing the authorities, their racism becomes more than apparent. The question which is never made explicit is of course who the real barbarians are. Wall's play is based on a true story and featured David Jason's first straight acting role on TV.
