The National Touch / 2014
After the fall of the Soviet Union large numbers of immigrants from the East stayed in Latvia for good, Latvians simply call them “Russians”. Over 20 years of independence later mutual suspicion and bias are still there in the most part of the local community. Therefore, a Latvian director involves an independent Russian speaking Norwegian colleague in helping him understand Latvian “Russians” and coming up with an integration plan. But soon enough it becomes clear that only Latvians themselves can manage the challenge. And so begins director’s journey away from the division “us / them”.
Before My Feet Touch The Ground / 2017
Summer 2011. Daphni Leef, a young video editor, pitches a tent in Tel Aviv’s famous Rothschild Boulevard as a protest against the exorbitant cost of living in the city. Within days, thousands of people across the country follow suit, and create a national movement spearheaded by the charismatic and articulate Leef. Six years later, Leef revisits the events of that summer, which, though they did not bring about a significant change in policy, had a momentous impact on public awareness in Israel, and on her private life. As Israel finds itself once again in turmoil, Before My Feet Touch the Ground is a reminder of the power of hope and solidarity.

A deep drama about life in Hungary after the WW2 until the revolt against Russians in '56. The main character is the head of the black market in Budapest. He thinks he can buy everyone and everything but at the end he must face that he can't buy life. A must-see for everyone. Casting involves some of the greatest Hungarian actors. The story takes place in the eighth district of Budapest focusing on the market place on Teleki square which is still working. The movie contains some archive footage of real fight during the revolution.
