A winter-time journey from Switzerland to Turkey provides a poetic context for reflection. From the bustle of old Constantinople to the deserted Greek and Roman ruins strewn across the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts - quiet observations of past and present, tradition and modernity, innocence and beauty converge to create a meditative space for considering the impermanence of civilization. Shot in black-and-white, the images were processed by hand and edited over a two-year period.

Filmed in Bangkok, Rites of Passage (Part 1) documents the story of Maya (Mohammad) Jafer, a 42-year old Indo-Muslim transsexual female, who underwent gender reassignment surgery in early 2011. This film follows her through the moments leading towards and during her surgery, capturing her in times of utmost vulnerability and ecstasy. This film is an honest and truthful look at Maya's journey to fully-realized self-hood.

The discovery of a lockbox buried in the basement of a former Jewish midwestern merchant's store would unlock a half century old secret. The papers inside would reveal a family's story of rescue, sacrifice and courage. In the late 1930's, David and his son Sidney Plaut owned a small shop in Goshen, Indiana. The Plauts witnessed first hand the persecution of the Jews in Germany. They decided to take action by sponsoring and assisting 28 Jewish refugees immigrate into the United States. This documentary chronicles their amazing story as they risked their business and livelihood to provide a vital passage for Jews escaping the Holocaust.
