Come novelli Romeo e Giulietta, il guerriero Pyross Skan e Kallisto figlia della pioggia vivono un amore impossibile. L'animazione francese è in netta evoluzione e anche se la lavorazione di base si attua in Corea le idee partono dalla nazione europea. Con l'astuzia di caratterizzare i personaggi dei due popoli anche sul piano fisico e con l'occhio attento al cinema di Miyazaki il regista mostra come sia necessario resistere alle perplessità dei produttori. Che non sempre hanno ragione.
