In seguito al peggiorare della cecità Amos entra in un istituto per non vedenti e li resta vittima di un gravissimo incidente che lo porta alla cecità totale. Nonostante l'aggravarsi delle sue condizioni Amos non si arrende e riuscirà a trasformare la sua vita fino ad arrivare al primo successo sul palcoscenico. Da quel momento il successo non farà che crescere.
